Natural Skin Care Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is made by crushing fresh apples and allowing them to ferment. The best quality apple cider vinegar is made with organic apples that are allowed to mature in wooden barrels. Apple cider vinegar should be slightly cloudy, and have a rich amber color.

Apple cider vinegar boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation and fights bacterial infections. It can be used internally and externally in a natural skin care recipe to benefit the skin.

There are many reasons to use apple cider vinegar externally:

It is rich in  alpha hydroxy acids which helps to dissolve fatty deposits on the skin.  Because of the high amount of alpha hydroxy acid, apple cider vinegar can also be used to lighten sun spots and age spots.

Apple cider vinegar contains natural enzymes, vitamins A, B and C, as well as beta carotene, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, iron, silicon, boron and pectin.

Apple cider vinegar can be used to treat acne since it is a natural anti-inflammatory and has antibacterial properties.

Apple cider vinegar is also used to treat sunburn, psoriasis and other itchy skin conditions. It is also used to treat fungal infections, warts and skin tags.

Before using in any natural skin care recipe, it is recommended that you should do a skin test to make sure your skin is not too sensitive for straight vinegar. Place a small dab of vinegar on your neck for 15 minutes. If you get a negative reaction, you can dilute the vinegar in a 50/50 dilution using  water, or mix three (3) parts water to one(1)  part vinegar and test again.

Here is a basic skin toner recipe for you to try.

1/2 cup distilled water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
Optional: add a drop of lavender oil

Shake the mixture. Preserve in glass bottle or container with a lid.  Apply to skin using a cotton ball, or directly to an acne breakout with a Q-tip.
Leave on face for 20 minutes and rinse off with warm water. To clear up acne,  do this 2-3 times a day for best results.

Natural Skin Care Remedies - Avocado Is The Glue That Holds The Body Together

What’s so important about collagen ?

Our skin is mainly made up of collagen –mainly 80% of the dry weight of the skin is made of collagen. It is the main structural protein found throughout our body. Collagen provides the strength our tissues and organs need while elastin provides the ability to stretch and recoil.

Collagen works hand in hand with elastin in supporting the body’s tissues. It gives the body tissues form and provides firmness and strength. Elastin gives the same body tissues much needed flexibility.  Some people refer to collagen as the “glue that holds the body together”
.
The goal in natural skin care skin rejuvenation is to have a treatment that stimulates new collagen development. Any collagen cream claiming to give immediate results will not be long lasting.  Increasing collagen does not happen overnight as it takes time for a substance to bond with your skin naturally.

It has been scientifically proven that avocado oil stimulates an increase in  the amount of  soluble collagen in the dermis layer of the skin.

Although avocado oil is officially a vegetable oil, it is really a fruit because it has a stone.

Avocado oil penetrates into deep skin tissue. It enriches, nourishes and revitalizes the skin. The oil is rich in vitamin A, D and E.  The oil contains proteins, lecithin and amino acids.

Avocado Oil is  highly therapeutic and is said to have regenerating properties. This oil is ideal for mature and dry skin, or for sensitive and problem skin.

It also relieves the dryness and itching of psoriasis, eczema and other skin ailments. It is very useful when treating sun, climate or chemical damaged skin that is dehydrated or undernourished.  Avocado oil is very high in nutritional value and will help keep your skin healthy.
 And it stimulates collagen production.

Natural Skin Care Treatments with Alpha and Beta Hydroxy

ALPHA HYDROXY, BETA HYDROXY And POLYHYDROXY ACID
              ANTI-AGING SKIN CARE FROM HOME

Skin care products that are on the market today contain Alpha Hydroxy or
Beta Hydroxy Acids and are usually somewhat expensive. They are all the rage since they were launched in the 1980’s.You can achieve the same benefits that are found in these expensive creams using all natural anti-aging skin care from home.

Alpha Hydroxy is primarily derived from fruit and milk products. They work by speeding up the loss of dead skin cells and thinning the stratum corneum (the outer layer of the epidermis).  In the process they create a tingling sensation. The key mechanism of AHA’s is setting off a wound-healing response in the lower dermis, which triggers increased collage production and has a visible anti-wrinkle effect.

The combination of fewer wrinkles, smoother skin, and fresher color can produce a remarkable change in your skin, sometimes in only a few days.

Many exfoliating products now contain PHA’s (Polyhydroxy Acid). They have been chemically modified to be gentler.  Beta Hydroxy, such as salicylic acid, are cousins of AHA but more oil soluble. They are also stronger, more irritating and not as widely used.

Salicylic Acid is a type of Beta Hydroxy (commonly found in acne treatment creams). It penetrates your pores and gets beneath the sebum and dissolves and exfoliates dead skin cells.

A simple recipe for an effective mask for acne-prone skin is:

Mix honey and aloe vera together.  Crush and dissolve an aspirin tablet
and add to honey and aloe vera.

Apply to skin for approx. 10-20 minutes.

This mask helps to exfoliate the skin, soothes painful pimples and de-plugs any blackheads.

A great recipe for a mask for mature skin is:

              1 teaspoon honey
A few drops of orange juice

Mix the two together well.  Spread the mixture over entire face, even around the eyes and mouth.

Leave on for approx. 20 minutes.  Remove with warm water.

If used regularly, it can stave off those fine lines that appear as we get older.

Natural Wart Removal Treatments

How Do You Get Warts?

You can get warts by being infected by the human papilloma virus or HPV. A wart is in reality a non-cancerous growth caused by an infection by this type of virus.

There are many strains of the human papilloma virus and some of these types cause different type of warts. This virus is contagious and it can enter into your body from small cuts or scratches on your skin as well as by other ways.
There are many ways where you can get warts by being contaminated by HPV. In fact you can get them by:

• Direct contact with a wart of another person
• Direct contact with another person who is a carrier of the virus
• Using object that has been touched by another person that has the virus
• Sexual activity
• Frequenting certain places where the HPV dwells

Direct contact with the wart of another person may transfer the virus to your body. This is more frequent in children and adolescents than in adults. While children are playing football or other sports that require physical contact it is quite easy that they pass the virus by unconsciously touching the warts of other individuals.

It is also important to be aware that an individual may have the virus even if no type of growth has developed. This is because the virus not always develops into any type of growth. So an individual may transmit the virus without having developed any growth himself. However the individual that has been contaminated may develop the wart.

You can get warts by touching objects that had been touched by other individuals that carry the virus. This includes such objects as towels and shoes.

Some strains of this virus are responsible for genital warts. This strain may be transmitted during sexual activity.

The HPV can be found in many places and so you can get it from those places as well. Viruses have a tendency to remain dormant but alive for several months or even years when they are outside the body. They may start to multiply and increase their activity when they are in a body.

The human papilloma virus can be found in moist and warm places. It may lie on the floors of swimming pools, bathrooms, showers, gyms and locker rooms. So walking bare footed in these places increases the chances that you can get the virus through a small cut or scratch in you feet or other parts of your body.
If you are contaminated with the virus you can contaminate other areas of you body as well. This occurs by scratching your wart and touching other areas of your body. Children are particular known to have this type of habits.
